ABOUT

WHO

My name's Eric. I like watching and reading horror. I live in NYC.

WHAT

I used to write about horror films here more frequently than I do now. Life has now outpaced my ability to write consistently, but I've decided to keep this open for the occasional article.

CONTACT

I like independent films, and accept screeners with no guarantees about reviews. If I genuinely like your film, I'll do what I can to spread the word about it. Get in touch with me via one of the avenues listed below.

I also read a lot, and enjoy small press horror. I'm always on the hunt for new and upcoming authors. I accept review copies of books, but again, I can't promise I'll read and review it.

  2. Stumbled across the blog today. Bookmarked it so that's gotta say something for it. Curious , on one review I read . . Dangerous Orphan's . . you know that's not "the" Kevin Smith the actor / writer / director right? There is another. I think he did an X-File or Tales from the Darkside or some t.v. episode's of a similar type. If that was his idea of a movie script I assume he is a damn fine hot dog vendor on a N.Y. sidewalk somewhere today. That movie was shittier than Children of the Night and that takes effort.

    1. Hey Dewey - Yeah, I am aware that that Kevin Smith isn't the one who made it big. After looking up this one up again, it appears that he's actually a third person... Other than Dangerous Orphans he's only ever written one other film (The Lie of the Land, 1985) which appears to be lost in time. So not even any TV work. Sort of a sad career, but we're still talking about him, so I guess that's better than nothing. Thanks for reading and commenting!

    2. Also, thanks for the warning about Children of the Night. Karen Black might have lured me into watching it at some point, but I'll be careful.
